This rigid foam Insulation is an excellent way of retaining heat. Most heat loss is straight out of the top of the Compost Bin. The insulation is made from 2" thick rigid foam protected by tough reflective foil on either side. There is a rope handle in the middle for ease of removal. As the contents compost and shrink downwards the insulation goes down as well.

Insulation on a Compost Bin

The Insulation is rigid, robust and light weight and is pre-cut to fit our compost bins. The Insulation can also be used in other compost bins and can easily be cut to size with either a saw or simply a long bladed knife such as a bread knife for example.
